A Little about us

Thank you for visiting Thompson Pools online. Thompson Pools was selected as the 2002 Small Family Business of the Year. Thompson Pools began installing residential swimming pools as part of our residential and commercial construction company in 1972. We have extensive construction background in all areas and phases of construction. Spas were introduced the following year. The pool and spa company was operated out of the home until 1983, when a retail store was opened. Thompson Pools continued to grow and we moved to our current location in 1993. The backgrounds of the owners are diverse and varied and each provides a unique benefit.

Service

Thompson Pools provides complete installation, repair and service from our store in Billings and we stock all related chemical products and have a comprehensive inventory of parts. We have installed numerous pools and spas throughout Montana and Northen Wyoming. In 1989, we were selected to install several pools, spas, fountains, logoons and waterfalls for a condominium project on the Kona coast of Hawaii. From 1992-1997 we renovated Athletic, South and Rose Parks for the City of Billings and installed the waterslides and splash down pool at Rose Park. During this time, we also built the splash down pools, pumps and filtration system for Big Splash Waterpark. In 1992, we helped Zoo Montana with the otter ponds and waterfalls and later with the tiger moats and other water related features. These were unique because of the special requirements of the animals and potential chemical and filtration needs. We have also built several community pools around the state with the help of local contractors and pool communities. We provide pool stations for many manufacturers. In 1999, we were one of the first pool companies to offer a vanishing edge vinyl liner pool.
